Am I the only person who thought a Zelda spoon was some sort of sexual position? No? Just me then.

Now that the Sony presentation has come and gone, one side observation: would it kill Sony to have some, I don’t know, “presenting” at their presentation? A series of trailers stacked back to back to back with little context made it feel less like an event and more like I’d wandered away from my computer and forgotten to hit pause and it’s autoplayed a whole bunch of nonsense that I never asked for.

Not that I’m desperate to see more Jim Ryan or anything, but it just made it feel like a weirdly bare affair, highlighted by the remarkably bloodless intro of the Project Q streaming handheld. It’s a new bit of PlayStation kit! It’s a whole new idea for the company! Shouldn’t we be excited about this? But it’s hard for me to be excited when Jim’s introducing it like oh yeah, we did a thing, there it is, don’t ask me about it because I’m not going to talk about it for months okay.

We can laugh at Geoff’s WORLD PREMIERES (and I do) but I really wasn’t sure what was actually new, what was from a developer I might be interested in, and what was a game that’s been seen to death because it’s out imminently (Final Fantasy).

I’ll be looking to redeem my ‘guarantee of a high five or warm handshake if I ever meet you in person’ at Develop Brighton if you’re in attendance this year, Nathan

Really great points on the Microsoft presentation Nathan. I want so badly for them to have a win. With Starfield not being present, they have to show something strong from one of their other studios. A video reel of 3rd party day one titles on gamepass simply won’t do.
