For what it's worth, I like the old-style format, but I also appreciate that the new one has its place for times when a deeper dive isn't around.

I'm by no means an expert, but I don't think the format itself will necessarily be the deciding factor in the continued success of Hit Points - after all, it's the voice and the takes we come for and that stuff comes through in both forms.

So as a reasonably long-term sub, I would say not to worry about it too much and just let the inspiration do its thing when you feel it and, when it's not coming, we can still enjoy your irreverent and informed slant on news and events.

First of all, from the point of view of someone who reads you for free every week, thank you very much for your work! I found this new approach to the newsletter very interesting, but I would like that once this hot summer is over (hello from Spain), Hit Points would go back to its original format. I really liked this newsletter, because it is a fresher way to present the news, but it reminds me a lot of Axios. In my case, I love Hit Points because it's a way to present a single topic in depth and see a point of view that I might not have thought about. Anyway, I really like your work Nathan, and thank you very much for your work every week. Best regards!

As someone who has removed themselves from Twitter and won't be joining threads, found this news round up at the end of the week really excellent! Key stories but also the more interesting stuff I love reading about. [10]
