I agree there isn’t much Gen ML can add to those who are already talented, it can’t keep pace with a talented writer or artist. But where I do see an opportunity opening up is for a tool to help those who find those things more difficult.

A dyslexic artist who gets anxious about writing speech and background stories for their characters. A D&D GM who loves writing lore but wishes they could draw a picture of a character or setting to show their players as they describe something.

It may not be _great_, but sometimes you just need something that is 60% good (maybe even less) to get things going, or to complement another skill.

This is so odd and disappointing. I don’t see small devs using these tools and still make good games, so this is just a cost cutting measure for large companies who can already afford to do better than AI slop.
