I'll do a nice! I don't know exactly what to call it but I guess it comes under "Signposting". I'm specifically thinking of my recent experiences playing Metroid Dread and the Hitman World of Assassination trilogy. In the new Metroid, I was a little worried about trawling through corridors I'd already seen searching fruitlessly for destructible tiles but in fact, the map makes it super clear where there are things left to find and helped maintain the whole game's awesome sense of propulsion even when mopping up the items. As for Hitman, those levels can be mighty overwhelming at first, but with the Challenges and the scalable Mission Story hints it pulled me back in and taught me more and more ways to enjoy those environments. When it comes to this signposting, I'm thankful for developers' kindness as well as their cunning. I blasted through Dread and meanwhile cultivated a unquenchable Hitman obsession. Nice.

Bayonetta's parry works just like GoT. You can spam the parry input in the general direction of the incoming attack and almost always deflect it. There's no timing to it at all. If you time the input perfectly, however, she'll counter with a headbutt launcher and activate up to nine whole seconds of Witch Time.

As I am currently playing GoT on PS5 and Ridge Racer 2 via emulation I can confirm when done right parries and especially drifting are amazing. Check out Hot Wheels Unleashed as well for some decent drifting.
